Khustyna × Oliana Moroz
Ukrainian Art on Silk
In this collaboration, I created a series of illustrations for a scarf collection inspired by the multifaceted of Ukrainian art. There were four designs: dance, music, architecture, theatre, and poetry.

Each with its own unique style, color palette, and story. Created as symbols of living culture, these scarves became part of the contemporary art scene and were showcased at TSUM Kyiv.

Work in Progress
The illustrations for this collection were created by hand using acrylic paint, oil pastels, and ink.
After the traditional artworks were completed, they were digitally refined and prepared for silk printing.

Poetry Scarf
A personal piece inspired by memories — dried flowers, the scent of spring, and secret keys to hidden moments.
The scarf features lines from a poem by Lina Kostenko.

Inspired by the grand works of Horodetskyi and Ukrainian Baroque, I captured the spirit of monumental buildings from across Ukraine.

Some are nearly destroyed, some are iconic landmarks — the scarf brings together different architectural styles and eras into one composition.

Music Scarf
I painted the “Music” scarf in a naïve style, where animals play musical instruments.
All the characters were hand-painted with traditional paints.

Dance Scarf
This scarf was created by combining digital drawing with hand-painted textures.
I drew inspiration from Ukrainian choreography, both contemporary and traditional dances.

Dynamic shapes and vibrant color combinations were used to symbolize the energy and movement of dance.

Theatre Scarf
This scarf has two versions — a “Men’s Theatre” and a “Women’s Theatre.”
The artwork was created using vector graphics combined with hand-painted textures.
The design was inspired by the vibrant and multifaceted world of Ukrainian theatre.
